It's Friday afternoon and I am so happy to finally say, I'm done!
It has taken me several weeks to complete these Christmas cards. I would have never thought it would take me so long. There is coloring, heat embossing, dry embossing, rhinestones, ribbon, charms, pop up dots and laying in this card. You name it, it has it! Even the lantern has shimmer gold! And, for an added touch, there is even a heat embossed sentiment inside. I'm sorry if the picture didn't come out so sharp. I was having trouble with my light and the gold paper.
Some very special people will be receiving this card for Christmas.
Now I can focus on my own Christmas cards and finally have a chance to play along with some weekly challenges. But, for now, I think I'm just going to hop on over to Splitcoaststampers and the Papercraft Planet to see what happening lately.
Thanks for looking and have a blessed weekend!
Today is day 2 of Sherrod Studio's sneak peak for her new stamp release.
For my card today, I used the Winter Wonderland stamp set. These two penguins are skating on my baby blue Stickles. Aren't they cute?! I colored them with my markers and added some cotton on their hats.
The sentiments reads, "In the laughter of children we find the true joy in cold winter days". Such a perfect sentiment for this image. I love it!
As you can see, I used a basic sketch for this card. Both the blue card stock and the DS paper are oldies but goodies from SU. I wanted a different effect on my ribbon so I went with a pleated ribbon and sewed it together with my sewing machine. I was able to put this card together in no time.
If you wan to see the other stamps in this set, make sure to take a look at the rest of the DT's blogs. Their cards are adorable! We will have one more sneak peak for you tomorrow and if you would like to purchase any of the new stamps, make sure to visit Sherrod Studio. Thanks for looking!

It's not just Sherrod Studio Tuesday Throwdown. It's Preview Tuesday!!!
That's right! Today is the first day of the 3 day sneak peek preview. There are 4 new stamps sets being released on Thursday, November 19th. The DT has been working hard on creating cards using all of the new stamps. You must check their blogs out so you can see all the different images. They are absolutely darling.
Today, we are showing you images from the Rock n' Roll stamp set. Tomorrow, we will show you...wait...well, if you want to know, then you will have to come back tomorrow and take a look. You didn't think I was going to give it away that easy right?! heehee.
Now for the Challenge.
A color challenge. This one was by far the hardest one to do. I think I went to the drawing board 4 times. Each way I tried to create a sketch with these colors, I just couldn't get a card I liked. Now, don't get me wrong, I think these colors are great. It's the patterned paper that I didn't have and it was hard for me to create a card without PP. The swatch on this image is beautiful. Now that's a PP I would have loved to have!
Well, I better get busy on tomorrow's card. Wait until you see the stamps! As always, thanks for looking and don't forget to visit the DT's blogs!
Happy Saturday Everyone!!!
Well, I'm still so very busy working on my mother-in law's Christmas cards. I haven't had time to do any other projects except my Sherrod Studio cards. I sure do miss my weekly challenges. They keep my creative juices flowing!
I did manage to have a workshop last night which was very nice. We had lots of fun, lots of chatter and lots of oops!!
I wanted to show you what we made. Even with the oops, we got through it and everyone walked away with an amazing Easel Card and Box. I couldn't wait to show the girls my latest tool. I just love this 3D Sunflower we made using my electronic cutting machine. The Easel Card and Box were put together in a snap! This is the perfect gift for anyone. Add a bottle of wine or a home baked cake and your hostess/friend will sure feel special.
I can't wait to make more 3D flowers! More so, I can't wait to have the girls over for another evening of creativity, laughter and good times!
Hello my friends, it's Tuesday Throwdown with Sherrod Studio again!!!!
Kim challenged the DT with a sketch challenge this week.
If you haven't played along since we started Tuesday Throwdown, now is the time to join in the fun!!! Sketch challenges are the best because for some, creating a card from scratch is hard. By providing a sketch, all you have to do is recreate it and add your own image and sentiment.
These past few days, all I have been doing are cards and projects of mass production. Last week I worked on 52 Halloween treat bags and this week, 25 Christmas cards for my mother in law. It was nice to make this card and take a break from the repetition.
For my card, I used the Gracie Stamp Set. This set comes with 7 images and 6 sentiments. What I like about this set is that it is very versatile. There is a teddy bear, a flower, a balloon, a set of balloons, Gracie and 2 flowers which I am using today. The sentiments can be used for just about any occasion. The colors I used are Rich Razzleberry and Kiwi Kiss. I colored my brads with my copic markers to match the paper and my ribbon is the polka dot Rich Razzleberry. The DS paper is from Basic Gray called Eva.
Now for some business talk. Starting Tuesday, November 17th the DT will be showing their sneak peaks of the new stamps. I had a chase to see them and boy oh boy are they fantastic! I'm supposed to get my sets in soon so I can starting playing. In addition, I have started a Meetup group in my area. If you are interested in joining, please visit Just Stampin'.
Well, sadly I better get back to my Christmas cards. When I'm done, I'll make sure to post it. Make sure to stop by the other DT members to see their cards. Thanks for stopping by!!
